Four pistols, one new CZ platform. The DUTY 4.0 comes as the C compact and the F full-size, and each is offered with or without a manual thumb safety, the MS versions. All four are striker-fired 9x19mm guns with a 4-inch barrel, fixed sights and a slide cut for direct-mount red dots. The part that carries the serial number is the internal chassis, so the polymer grip frame around it is a module, not the gun itself.
For buyers from Oregon to Georgia this is the kind of pistol that does several jobs at once: a first handgun that will not be outgrown, a nightstand gun that holds 15 or 17 rounds, a range gun with a crisp 5.6-pound trigger, or a carry pistol where your state permits it. At a $729 MSRP it lands squarely in the service-pistol bracket, and it ships to any FFL dealer in the country.
The F is the full-size frame: 5.6 in (143 mm) tall, 27.7 oz (780 g) unloaded, 17+1 rounds of 9mm on board and 19+1 with the extended floor plate. The longer grip fills a big hand and settles the gun between shots.
Under the DUTY name sits a serialized modular chassis, a 1.3 in (33 mm) wide fiberglass-reinforced polymer frame, a 102 mm barrel and a trigger CZ rates at 25 ± 4 N (5.6 ± 0.9 lbs) with a 0.16 in (4 mm) reset. The slide is optics-ready by direct mount rather than an adapter plate. Fixed sights come standard, and the barrel is not threaded.
There is no manual safety on this model. Drop safety comes from the firing pin block, the trigger safety and the trigger-bar safety, the way most modern striker-fired pistols are set up. If you want a frame-mounted lever, the MS version has one.
Best fit: home defense, duty use, competition and long range sessions where the extra grip and two more rounds matter. Shooters coming from a CZ 75 will recognize the grip angle; shooters coming from any other striker gun will notice the trigger first.
Pick the model, then name the licensed dealer you want it sent to. We ship to FFL dealers nationwide, and your dealer applies your state's law at pickup, whatever that means where you live. Ammo and gear ship to your door where legal. Price and stock are confirmed live when you order, before you pay, so there is no surprise after the fact.
Questions buyers ask: Which DUTY 4.0 should a first-time buyer pick? The F full-size gives you 17+1 rounds and a slightly taller grip for the range or the nightstand; the C compact holds 15+1 and is about 8 mm shorter, which matters more if you plan to carry. Both share the same barrel, trigger and slide length. Can I put a red dot on it myself? Yes. The slide is optics-ready with direct-mount cuts, and CZ's own photos show Holosun, Aimpoint and Shield dots fitted. The fixed iron sights stay on either way. How many rounds does the CZ DUTY 4.0 F hold? 17+1 with the standard magazine and 19+1 with the extended floor plate.
